Over 700 international exhibitors from 50 countries participated at Intersec this year, covering a total exhibition area of 38,200 sqm. More than 90% of exhibitors stated that their participation was very successful/adequate with 93% stating that they were able to establish promising sales leads.
Intersec is the largest Security, Fire, Safety & Health and Police & Homeland Security Exhibition in the Middle East.
Visitor Profile
Over 17,200 trade-only visitors from 96 countries attended Intersec 2009. 50% of the visitor profile travelled internationally to the event. Visitors to Intersec were said to be involved in one or more of the buying processes, where almost 90% are involved in the final decision to purchase. Over 80% of the visitors came to the show to meet potential or new business partners and to keep up-to date with new products and trends.
62% of visitors requested for a quotation whilst visiting Intersec 2009.

The Intersec 2010 Conference – Dealing with Disaster – Readiness:Response:Recovery
Intersec welcomes you to its 12th edition high profile conference featuring world class speakers and experts discussing the latest topics and challenges in the industry.
In 2010, the Intersec Conference will for the first time focus entirely on disaster management and dealing with disasters – be it natural or man made.
Lessons learned, lessons to be learned and recent events will be discussed by international and regional experts drawn from police, security, safety and fire &rescue backgrounds sharing their expertise and stressing the importance of general preparedness and resilience in any matter.
Speakers’ topics will be highlighting the Intersec show sections of “homeland security & policing”, “safety & health” and “fire & rescue” reflecting the conference themes at the exhibition.
Topics ranging from border control and maritime security, civil aviation, mass evacuation, Hazmat incidents, fire safety in high rises and water rescue will be discussed as well as recent terrorist incidents, the effects of global warming and dealing with medical pandemics.
